Hindu Succession Act, 1956 Section 14(2) Property to mother to be her absolute property - Challenged - Suit property to mother by way of Gift and given \"life interest\" whereas absolute ownership to son and daughter through Will by Testator - Held, \"life interest\" means interest which determines on termination of life - It is incapable of being transferred by such person to others being personal in nature - Such person, therefore, could enjoy \"life interest\" only during his/her lifetime which is extinguished on his/her death - \"Life interest\" of mother in suit house extinguished on her death - Such disposition made by husband in favour of his wife was permissible in law in light of Section 14(2) read with Section 30 of Act - Case of plaintiff falls under Section 14 (2) of Act insofar as it relates to suit house.
