After MP Jailbreak incident, Government asks CISF to Audit Prison security

Eight SIMI undertrials who escaped were later killed in police encounter.

After Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) had conducted a security audit of Bhopal Central Jail from where 8 SIMI undertrials had escaped on 31st October.

The Madhya Pradesh govt. has now asked CISF to carry out a similar audit at 3 more central jails located in Gwalior, Jabalpur and Indore.

The Force will soon embark on a rigorous review of the manpower deployment and  security systems at all 3 jails to detect loopholes if any & suggest technological, infrastructural or training improvement & upgradradation required to secure the premises.

This security audit was carried out at Bhopal following the 31st October escape of 8 SIMI undertrials who had been later killed in a police encounter.

The CISF recommended human resources upgrade to ensure a well-motivated and well-trained prison staff.
