About Eight donkeys were detained on November 24,2017 following which owners made frantic search for animals the they were informed by the locals that donkeys having been detained by the Police.
Believe it or not, Uttar Pradesh Police detained a herd of donkeys in the Jalaun district of UP.
Police states that donkeys were detained for destroying plants outside jail. Donkeys were released today after four days of detention. Donkeys apparently ate and destroyed the plants recently bought for about Rs 5 lakh. Herd of donkeys were caught red handed outside Urai District Jail.
Urai Jail Head Constable, RK Mishra said that,”These donkeys had destroyed some very expensive plants which our senior officer had arranged for planting inside the jail and despite warnings owner let loose his animals here so we detained the donkeys”.
Kamlesh, the owner of the herd of donkeys then, approached Police with his request to let animals go free but officials refused to release the donkeys for four days.
He then rushed to local BJP leader Shakti Gahoi for help. BJP leader accompanied Kamlesh to Police Station and secured release of donkeys.
