September 27,2017:

Home Minister Rajnath Singh said that share of Central Govt. will be Rs 18,636 crore and that of the States is Rs 6,424 crore.

On Wednesday, the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) has approved Rs 25,060 crore for the Police Modernisation for three fiscal years till 2019-20.

Rajnath Singh, Home Minister stated that Central Government would contribute 80 per cent of the money earmarked for the Police modernisation.

He further added that,“CCS has cleared an umbrella scheme for the police modernisation. Rs 25,060 has been approved for the the following years-2017-18, 2018-19 and 2019-20”.
