Singh and the others accused in the Disproportionate Assets/Money Laundering case had appealed to Court that case be dismissed.
On Monday, Delhi High Court refused to quash disproportionate assets case against the Himachal Pradesh CM Virbhadra Singh.
Enforcement Directorate (ED) had earlier summoned 83-year-old Singh, his wife Pratibha, and son Vikramaditya, for questioning to do with case.
Agency is investigating the allegations that Singh and his family members amassed the assets worth as much as Rs 6.1 crore between the years 2009-2011, which were disproportionate to his known sources of income at the time. During that period, Singh was the Union steel minister.
ED had earlier termed as Singh’s plea “premature” for quashing money laundering case proceedings.
In March,2015, an FIR had been lodged against Singh and his wife Pratibha in this case. Singh tried to get FIR quashed saying it was a “political vendetta” but High Court had refused.
