HC expounded that,”She has evaded arrest and hence was not entitled to any discretionary relief. Plea has been filed in Delhi to buy more time and delay the proceedings in Haryana”.
On Tuesday, Delhi HC rejected the Transit Anticipatory Bail plea of Honeypreet Insan, who is currently facing the charges of sedition and inciting violence after conviction of the Dera Sacha Sauda Chief Ram Rahim in the two rape cases.
Delhi HC had reserved order on Bail plea of 36-year-old woman after hearing arguments of her counsel and those of Delhi and Haryana Police earlier in the day on Tuesday.
Justice Sangita Dhingra Sehgal stated that,”The easiest way out is that you surrender”, while further asking why Honeypreet was seeking the transit anticipatory bail for three weeks.
Justice Sangita further questioned that,”First you come on the jurisdiction. Why has the plea been moved here. You surrender in Delhi and we will take care”.

The Transit Anticipatory Bail application is meant to seek protection against the arrest during her transit from Delhi to Haryana for joining the probe in Sedition case.
