Domestic Violence case filed against Cricketer Yuvraj Singh and his Family

The complaint of Domestic Violence is filed by Akanksha in Gurugram.

Yuvraj Singh and his Family

Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh has been named in the domestic violence case filed by his sister-in-law and the Bigg Boss 10 contestant Akanksha Sharma, who’s alleged he and his family caused her “mental and financial torture”.

Gurugram Police has booked Akanksha’s husband Zoravar Singh, mother-in-law Shabnam and brother-in-law Yuvraj in the case.

Notice has been sent to Singh family in this regard.

Akanksha’s lawyer Swati Singh Malik has confirmed the domestic violence case.

First court hearing in this case is scheduled for October 21,2017.

Her lawyer has claimed that Akanksha’s mother-in-law and husband had been pressuring her to conceive, while also subjecting her to the “mental and financial torture”.

He further added that Yuvraj had been a “mute spectator” to “suffering” caused to Akanksha by his family members.

Yuvraj’s younger brother Zorawar had married the Gurgaon girl Akanksha Sharma in the year 2014.

Estranged couple had filed for the divorce in 2016.

Motor Vehicle Act, 1988, Section 166 - 100% permanent disability - Compensation - Enhancement - Medical evidence shows that lower limbs of insurer paralyzed resulting in a loss of bladder and bowel control - Medical evidence establishes 100% disability of insurer - Insurer suffers from traumatic paraplegia and was hospitalized for 42 days - Insurer was 28 years of age when accident took place - Thus, monthly income of insurer L 4,000/- - Award for Future prospects and deduction for present expenses, enhanced from L 5,75,000/- to L 7,75,000/- - Award for future medical expenses enhanced from L 30,000/- to L 1,20,000/- regard to nature of disability - Therefore, compensation enhanced by L 2,70,000/- at the rate of 7% interest.
