When searched, derogatory search result were displayed in 2015 against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
FIR has been lodged against Google under the Information Technology Act for an alleged derogatory search result involving PM Narendra Modi.
Today Superintendent of Police (City) Kamal Kishore said the FIR was registered under various sections of IT Act on a complaint of lawyer Nand Kishore.
When contacted, a Google spokesperson said that “We haven’t received any notice of the complaint & are unable to comment.”
In the complaint lodged yesterday, Nand Kishore said that while surfing national news on Google, he came across a list that mentioned PM Modi in a derogatory manner.
He said that it caused hurt to him & others.
