IAS Officer Ashok Khemka gets 46th Transfer order, claims it is to serve vested interest

He is now transferred and posted as principal secretary, sports and youth affairs.

Out of 13 IAS officers who were transferred by the Haryana Govt. senior bureaucrat Ashok Khemka‘s name stood out, as it was 46th time in 23 years when he was meted out this after he exposed corruption in the depts. he was posted in.

IAS Khemka who held the charge of the Principal Secretary, Social Justice & Empowerment Department has been transferred & posted as the Principal Secretary, sports & youth affairs.

IAS Ashok Khemka had shot to limelight in the year 2012 when he had cancelled the mutation of a land deal between Congress President Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra’s company & DLF.

Responding to this, A. Khemka told ANI, “The transfer is fine, if it has been done in public interest but saddening if done only for vested interests.”

Ashok Khemka, the 1991 batch IAS officer, who’s been transferred more than 45 times during his nearly 3 decade long career, took to Twitter & said :

“So much work planned. News of another transfer. Crash landing again. Vested interests win. Déjà vu. But this’s temporary.”

“I’ll work in the new dept. with full energy” he added.
