Lalu Yadav’s Daughter fails to appear before Tax Authorities in Rs.1000 Crore Land Scam, fined 10K

On Tuesday, Income Tax Department slapped a penalty of Rs 10,000 on the RJD Chief Lalu Prasad’s MP Daughter Misa Bharti for the non-compliance of the summons and issued her fresh summons in connection with its probe in Rs 1,000 crore alleged Benami Land deals and the tax evasion case.

Bharti was supposed to appear before the Investigating Officer (IO) of case on Tuesday but the officials said she failed to keep date.

IO has levied a penalty of Rs 10,000 against her for non-compliance of the summons under the Section 131,Income Tax Act with a show cause notice to her in this regard.

She has now been asked to appear on June 12,2017  and Department’s queries in this case were to be answered by the Bharti and not by any of her authorised representatives.
