MLA Vincent, represents the Kovalam Assembly constituency near Thiruvananthapuram, stated that he has done no wrong and claimed he is a victim of political conspiracy.

The Congress MLA M. Vincent has been arrested by the Kerala Police, a day after being charged with the sexual harassment and stalking of a 51-year-old woman who attempted suicide.

Before the arrest, Mr. Vincent, a first-time legislator, was grilled for over two hours by  the Police team. He was later taken for the further interrogation.

Woman’s husband had filed the complaint with local police station near Thiruvananthapuram accusing legislator of threatening and harassing his wife over phone.

Case surfaced after woman attempted suicide by consuming excessive dose of the sleeping pills on July 19, 2017. She was rushed to the hospital in the city suburbs and was saved.
