Protesting Ban on Fire Crackers, Protesters burn crackers outside Supreme Court, Detained

According to a video, protesters were seen bursting the crackers on the Bhagwan Das Road and outside one of the Entry Gates the Supreme Court while chanting Jai Sri Ram.

On Tuesday, a Group of people protested outside Supreme Court premises against ban imposed by Apex Court on the sale of the crackers in Delhi-NCR.

Eventually Police seeing this sprung into action and removed the protesters.

Protesters belong to the Hindutva Outfit called Azad Hind Fauj.

As many as 14 persons, including three women, were detained and were taken to the Tilak Marg Police Station.They were led by a man named Satpal Malhotra.

Apex Court on October 9,2017 had ordered that that its order of September 12,2017 of lifting the ban, would come into effect only from November 1 thereby retaining the ban for Diwali.

The Fire cracker ban has irked many, leading to the wide spread anger against Supreme Court on the social and other media and which has now eventually spilled into the streets.
