Ram Jethmalani call Arun Jaitley a Crook

Heated exchanges were witnessed between the Union Minister Arun Jaitley and the Senior Advocate Ram Jethmalani at Delhi High Court on Wednesday during the Former’s Cross-Examination in the defamation case against the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Recording Jaitley’s statement in civil defamation suit of Rs 10 crore filed by him against Kejriwal and the other AAP functionaries could not take place as the Minister objected to the use of a word against him by Mr. Jethmalani representing Chief Minister.

Finance Minister, who appeared before the Joint Registrar Deepali Sharma, lost his cool and asked Mr. Jethmalani whether the word was used as per instructions from Kejriwal.

“If this is so, I would aggravate charges against the defendant (Kejriwal),”  stated Jaitley adding that there was a limit to personal malice.

To this, Jethmalani stated that he has used the word on instruction of Kejriwal.

Jaitley has filed civil defamation suit seeking Rs 10 crore  as damages from Kejriwal and the five other AAP leaders Raghav Chadha, Kumar Vishwas, Ashutosh, Sanjay Singh and Mr. Deepak Bajpai for accusing him of the financial irregularities in DDCA of which he was President from year 2000 to 2013.
