Apex Court in its order pointed out in its order after interacting with parties that it found that everything was not lost.

Supreme Court in a divorce case has directed wife to “behave herself properly” and “look after” her husband and husband’s aged mother.

Order was passed by Justice Kurian Joseph and Justice Deepak Gupta in appeal which was filed by husband Harjinder Singh against judgment passed by Punjab & Haryana HC.

SC Bench stated that,“Petitioner has been very gracious and fair in his submissions. Respondent i.e wife has not instituted any case except one case for maintenance. We find that parties should be given a chance to live together for a few weeks,while the case pending before us.”

Apex Court then proceeded to direct respondent wife to go with husband and behave herself properly. Respondent is directed to behave herself properly and look after petitioner and his aged mother. Nobody from family of Respondent shall interfere with their peaceful living..”

Bench has directed wife that she shall not leave company of the husband without Supreme Court’s permission.

Matter has now been listed for hearing on January 17, 2018.
