November 28,2017:
Lady judge in her complaint stated that the driver diverted the vehicle towards Hapur in Uttar Pradesh instead of going to Karkardooma Court in East Delhi after he picked her from her residence in the morning.

On Monday, A woman judge alleged that her cab driver tried to abduct her while driving her to the court, triggering intervention of Delhi HC, which has communicated its concern over the safety of the judges to Govt.
Registrar General of Delhi HC, Dinesh Kumar Sharma stated that this incident occurred when woman judge was going from Central Delhi to the Karkardooma Court Complex. As the driver changed the route, judge that noticed she was being taken somewhere else and immediately called the Police.
FIR has been lodged at the Ghazipur PS and vehicle was intercepted near Ghazipur. Driver, Rajeev has been arrested.
Cab was attached to the Makhija Travels, which is now under the scanner. Officers are checking whether police verification was done on the driver.
Acting Chief Justice Gita Mittal has conveyed her “grave concerns” over safety and security of the women judicial officers of the subordinate judiciary to Delhi Govt’s Law Department.
Acting Chief Justice Gita Mittal has stressed on need to provide separate cars to the judges whose security is “paramount” and indicated that Government should take steps to ensure such incidents don’t occur again.
Majority of Subordinate Judiciary Judges are provided taxis by the government. These cabs are used on pool basis as judges living nearby utilise the same vehicle common routes.
