They stole 99 sovereigns of gold ornaments and cash.

A group of men broke into a house situated at Adumaroli near Mangaluru and stole 99 sovereigns of the gold ornaments and cash, only to return two days later with the gold ornaments, cash and a piece of advice.

Thieves returned stolen items to owner and advised them to “keep such valuable items in a bank locker”.

Shekhar Kunder’s house was burgled in the broad daylight on September 16,2017 when he and his wife were away at work.

According to the Police, the Thieves broke rear door of house and made away with ornaments and Rs 13,000 in cash. Neighbours could not hear any noise as it was raining.

But the two bike-borne men, after two days threw the packet containing all stolen items into compound of house along with a note stating that they had committed a mistake by stealing it.

Police further added that,”So much jewellery should not be kept in house, they advised owners in a note attached to it, asking them to keep valuables in the bank locker”.
